A little update from my side 🥳
Good day, Cruise Retail family,
I hope you are all well. I know it has been some time since I was last active on the platform, but I wanted to share a brief update. I have also received many messages from colleagues, and my sincere apologies for not replying to everyone individually — as we all know, onboard Wi-Fi can be a real challenge. If you know, you know. 😄
I am nearing the completion of my first contract with Dufry onboard Norwegian Cruise Line – Escape and will be returning home next month in February. It’s hard to believe how quickly the time has flown.
This experience has been incredibly rewarding. I have had the opportunity to work across multiple retail outlets onboard, ranging from tobacco and liquor to high-end jewellery, including John Hardy pieces and luxury pre-loved handbags. I have also expanded my knowledge of Swiss watches, premium fragrances and cosmetics, luxury eyewear, logo merchandise, and other high-end retail products. This exposure has given me a well-rounded understanding of onboard retail operations and luxury guest engagement.
I have learned so much from the colleagues and leaders I have worked alongside, and this experience has reinforced my desire to continue growing within cruise retail and to pursue greater opportunities in the industry. I truly believe that, with the guidance and support of Cruise Retail Academy — especially Rob and Adrian — this growth is absolutely achievable.
Thank you once again for the opportunity and continued support.
Wishing everyone a happy and successful New Year. 🥳
