When you think of cruise ship shopping, standard logo tees and duty-free souvenirs might be the first things that come to mind. But Royal Caribbean’s newest flagship—Legend of the Seas, the third vessel in the mega-popular Icon Class fleet—is completely rewriting the rulebook for retail at sea.

Partnering exclusively with cruise retail innovator Starboard, Royal Caribbean has turned the ship into a high-end, immersive shopping hub. Debuting during its inaugural summer season in the Mediterranean (sailing out of Barcelona and Rome), Legend of the Seas brings an impressive lineup of first-at-sea brand partnerships, personalised luxury boutiques, and hands-on family experiences.

Whether you’re hunting for luxury skincare, vintage designer handbags, or a customized souvenir to take home, here is a look inside the new retail collection aboard Legend of the Seas.

First-at-Sea Brand Debuts

Starboard is introducing several cult-favourite skincare, fragrance, and fashion labels to a cruise ship for the very first time:

  • lululemon: Guests can shop a curated collection of lululemon’s signature activewear and accessories, featuring colorways specifically inspired by Royal Caribbean's vibrant palette.

  • Drunk Elephant: The clean-skincare favourite makes its maritime debut, bringing simple, biocompatible routines free of common skin irritants—a huge hit for teens and skincare enthusiasts.

  • Maison Francis Kurkdjian: Fragrance lovers can step into a dedicated boutique showcasing iconic scents like Baccarat Rouge 540, Oud, and APOM.

  • Clarins Lip Bar: An interactive beauty hub where passengers can shade-match, test, and shop Clarins’ famous Lip Oil collection with help from expert consultants.

  • JW PEI & Kenny Flowers: Modern resortwear and sustainable vegan-leather handbags bring effortless vacation style straight to the deck.

Pre-Loved Luxury & Fine Jewelry

For travelers seeking high-end luxury, Legend of the Seas introduces dedicated spaces for authenticated vintage finds and fine jewelry design:

  • Fashionphile Boutique: In a cruise industry first, guests can browse a curated assortment of authenticated pre-owned luxury handbags and accessories from top design houses.

  • Lagos in Central Park: Set within the ship’s open-air Central Park neighborhood—surrounded by more than 30,500 real living plants—this boutique features Lagos’ signature modern caviar-beaded jewelry.

  • The Onboard Style Bar: A digital design station where guests can create a custom piece of fine jewelry and have it delivered directly to their home.

  • Rare & Vintage Gems: From Le Vian pieces featuring De Beers Desert Diamonds to vintage collections from legendary houses like David Webb, David Yurman, and Tiffany & Co., the fine jewelry offerings cater to serious collectors.

Interactive & Family-Focused Retail

Shopping onboard isn't just about browsing shelves—it's about hands-on customization and interactive play for all ages:

The Treasure Chest: A reimagined toy store featuring trending brands like Jellycat, Squishmallows, Funko, and NeeDoh. Kids can participate in a interactive "fur-ever friends" plush adoption station, where every plush animal purchase supports the World Wildlife Fund (WWF).
  • 6th & Main: A personalized studio where adults and kids can customize apparel, bags, and gifts with live embroidery, custom patches, and personalized line engraving.

  • Etched & Aged: A craft-focused shop offering custom laser-engraving on leather goods, travel drinkware, and spirits bottles.

Destination-Inspired Mediterranean Chic

To celebrate the ship's maiden voyages through Europe, Starboard created Sol & Sea, a sensory boutique inspired by coastal Mediterranean style. The shop blends resort apparel, artisanal home décor, regional fragrances, and destination-inspired keepsakes that capture the spirit of Southern Europe.
