🎓 She Wanted a Career at Sea — So Diana Started Preparing for One

Another Academy Graduate has made it onboard — and I'm really happy to share this one.
Meet Diana. 🚢❤️
What I liked about Diana from the beginning was that her route into cruise wasn't the obvious one.
She came to us with a really interesting background spanning customer experience, sales, communications, resort operations and administration.
But she knew she wanted to take her career in a new direction.
And rather than simply talking about working on a cruise ship one day, Diana started preparing for it.
She completed her maritime training, worked through the requirements and used the Cruise Retail Academy and our training to help understand the journey ahead.
That told me quite a lot about her.
Then the Opportunity Came
Anyone preparing for their first contract will know that getting onboard isn't always quick.
There's paperwork.
Training.
Waiting.
More paperwork.
And occasionally paperwork you could have sworn you'd already done. 😄
But Diana kept going.
We helped guide her through the process, but she did the important bit herself: she stayed committed to what she wanted.
And now?
She's onboard.
This Is the Bit We Love
Seeing that first photograph from a candidate once they're actually on the ship never really gets old.
Because we remember the conversations before it.
The questions.
The preparation.
The uncertainty.
And eventually that message arrives:
“I'm onboard.”
That's when it becomes real.
Welcome to the Graduate Club, Diana
Diana, enjoy it.
Meet people from all over the world.
Work hard, ask questions, support your team and make the most of your first contract.
Most importantly, take a moment to look around and realise:
You did it.
Really proud to see you there. ❤️
