SYMTERRA TRAINING PAGE

WELCOME TO YOUR CRA+ SYMTERRA TRAINING

On this page we will walk you through how the CRA+ SymTerra works, and how you will use it to complete your visit reports.

WHAT IS CRA+ SYMTERRA?

SymTerra is the app which we are using for all our CRA+ visit feedback reports (training, merchandising, support, mystery shopping).  It is a very simple to use tool which you use on your mobile phone to complete all your visit report inputs, comments, actions, photos, videos.   It is downloadable from Apple IoS Store and Google Play, and you will receive a link shortly to invite to collaborate on the relevant project.

HOW DO I GET THE APP?

Simple.  Once you have been invited to join a project, simply scan the QR codes below in either Google or App to get the app downloaded to your phone.  It is free of charge.   You should do this and the tutorials below before you travel to the ship.

WHAT JARGON DO I NEED TO KNOW?

So, to start with, we need to teach you the jargon that you will be using in SymTerra, as learning this will help you navigate it easier.

PROGRAMME - These are where we classify the different projects that we have through CRA+.  It is the overall classification of everything you will be doing.

PROJECT - Each of the different types of assignments that we have will be called a project. These are usually classified by the brand and the type of visit you will be doing (daily or cruise).  So, for example if you were doing a "DIAGEO" daily training visit, then the project would be called 'DIAGEO DAILY VISIT'.  If you were doing a "MAJORICA" cruise-long trunk show, then the project would be called "MAJORICA CRUISE VISIT".

SMART NOTE - This is the unique entry that you will complete per visit.  So, for example if you are completing 2 ship visits in a day for a brand then each would be a separate smart note, inside the same project.

REPORT - This is the section of smart note that we are using!  It is the here that you will complete your visit report.

R.A.G. - This stands for Red, Amber, Green.  And it is how we ask you to classify your ship visit.  Red = ship standards unacceptable and immediate action needed.  Amber = ship standards require some attention but not urgent.  Green = ship standards are acceptable.

VISIT BRIEF - This is the instructions you will receive by email for the onboard visit and will contain the email addresses of those persons that you must share the Smart Note to.

HOW DO I COMPLETE A VISIT REPORT (SMART NOTE)?

Ok, first question.  Have you watched the tutorials yet?  If not, please go back up the page and complete all the tutorials as it is most important that you understand how SymTerra works before you complete your visit reports.  You should complete all of this in plenty of time before you visit the ship.

If you have, then great - I hope you understand how it works now! 😁

Here are the key things that we think you need to understand:

  • Every CRA+ Freelancer visit, whether it be for one day or for a longer duration must be accompanied by your visit report (smart note) completed in SymTerra.

  • By using the SymTerra app, we recommend that you complete the Smart Note onboard in real time in offline mode (select in menu) and then share it once you have returned home and have a good WiFi connection (and select online mode in menu).

  • You complete the relevant Smart Note connected to the relevant project and you should complete one smart note per each brand / ship visit.  (So. if you are doing 2 ship visits on the same day for the same brand, this would require 2 smart notes.  If you were doing 1 ship visit with 2 different brands on the same day, this would require 2 smart notes)

  • You must share the PDF version of your Smart Note report with the relevant persons as indicated on your Visit Brief as soon as the visit onboard has been completed. It is expected that all visit reports are shared within 48 hours of the end of the visit.

  • We would also recommend to practise by making a test Smart Note whilst you are at home (with photos / annotations / speech to text etc), and sharing with us to show you understand it well, before you travel onboard.  We can give you any feedback as required.

  • If your project is not on SymTerra then please contact us.

  • If you have any difficulties during your visit with SymTerra, then please contact us for support!
